Sugars Are Not So Sweet
When considering a
weight loss program or healthy eating plan, consider the
effects of simple sugars on your body. One common
step in a diet is to switch to "Fat Free" products, but
look at the label before you do. Many of the "Lite"
products may be better for you because although they may
have more fat, which may be the healthy kind, they have
less sugar added as well. Since sugar is used in the
body for energy, if we consume too much of it and don't
burn it, the sugar turns to fat. A good rule of
thumb, if you're really craving sweets, is to consume
simple sugars right before you exercise and definitely not
before bed.
